I take it back about my dealer and mods :)

Was just down there sorting my car. Comes on Monday WOoop!

The service guy came over as i'd mentioned the springs and said they would supply and fit them no problem and they car would be ready to pick up with them on. They also said they would fit the eibach coilovers but it would effect the warranty with regards to parts that were connected to the coilovers. I can confirm your warranty will stay intact if they supply and fit the seat springs.

Only problem is i've not seen a cupra which has been lowerd 35mm. Do I go for the cheaper option and keep my warrenty or.. go the whole hog and get the eibach coilovers can choose my ride hight but loose my warranty...?

dealer option and keep warrenty for me all the way, the novelty of being able to adjust the height will wear off and you will be wishing you had saved those extra pennys IMO

did they say how much they will charge for fitting?

Is the suspension the same on a boca/cupra as one the 1.6/1.6 sc sport?

Surely they must have upgraded, i have a 1.4 sport and have ordered a boca, handling is alright but havent pushed it to its limits. But I would expect them to have lower/harder springs.

Also as i am a newbie, what is the difference between spring and coilovers?

Spring - just that a spring.

Coil overs - A spring and damper combo, usually with an adjustable platform built into the damper so you can adjust the height to your tastes and/or requirements.

Also they will have designed different spring rates or at least groups for different axle weights and spec so swapping might not be possible, although all physically are the same. Top mounts and hubs etc as far as I can see are the same as the MK4 and havent been changed.

Not just getting coilovers for looks its more the fact they will have decent dampening instead of the crap seat usually put out :)

Still stuck on what to do!

I'll probably go for some KWs at some point. Had a set of APs on the Fabia which were good but as this is a new car I want to get something a little better.

Not bothered about going that low again..lol

What a cool fabia estate!

I'm probably going to wait a couple of months and go for the coilovers. If I get the seat springs and i'm not happy with the ride/hight i'll be kicking myself

I was also quoted £500odd from my dealer. I'll be making a trip to awesome next month for some nice coilovers and a RR run to see what power my run in motor makes when run on V-power.

I know a little about this one.

Went to Awesome the other week and they took the weight details for the bocanegra. They are 5kg over the stated amount for the TDi mk5 kit. Awesome contacted eibach in Germany and sent them the info. Eibach said that the extra weight was fine. So if you have a boc, cupra or FR order springs, or coilovers for the TDi spec not the lighter petrol engines.
