Yep, Monteiro will start on Pole with Hernandez BMW alongside him aswell as the BMW of Farfus and Larini in the Chevy behind them. Standing grid start though so the rear wheel drive BMW's will have a clear advantage off the line I think.

Also, something which i didn't catch on the preview show. This weight thing by make of car, does it apply to the independents too? Or is there a seperate one for them. Bit unfair if a customer spec car gets whacked with weight cos the Manufacturer teams have done soo darn well!

The Leon is pretty good in wet as demonstrated in the BTCC a few times. Hopefully it will negate some of the start-line advantage the BMW's have.

Well it's drying out pretty quick, it's pretty warm and windy so that helps to dry out the circuit.

But there is a lot of spray, but considering how much it was raining a few minutes ago, there is little standing water.

They have started the race under the safety car. running now.

Bit annoyed by the bloke moaning that he wouldn't let diesel engines race because they drone and don't sound right... felt like he was trying to find a problem with the leons (in comparison to the "wonderful" bmw 3 serieses)
