Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has stuck lower spring onto the bilstein dampers? its just that i want to go around another 20-30mm down but dont really have money for coilovers, ect. can you get 40-50mm springs that will fit these and will the dampers be ok with the extra low-ness??

cheers

You can get the H & R Cup Kit (springs and dampers) for about £340 and that lowers the car 50mm at the front and 40mm at the back ;)

You can get coilovers cheaper but i would suggest spending a bit more if you take that route

cheers for the help peeps, it looks like ill have to just sick with what ive got for now then, which i cant fault other than the lowness of the kit.

Usually the 16's have a 45ratio tyre and 17's 40.....

The overall rolling radios would be the same to a few mm's :)

Hhmm interesting! So my car with 16" rims and dropped with the H & R Cup Kit would be roughly the same height as the same car with 17" rims dropped on the H & R Cup Kit?

yeah there would only be a few mil in it.

roughly 25.4mm to the inch.

17 inch dia. wheel = 431.8mm dia. with tire @ 40mm profile = 511.8mm dia.

16 inch dia. wheel = 406.4mm dia. with tire @ 45mm profile = 496.4mm dia.

Hope thats rite or im gona look a fool :hide:

Oh that gives me a rough idea of how it will look then as my friend has 17" rims with that kit ;)

well i guess its down to the wheels too, as 17s with spokes right to the edge will look bigger so give the impression that the arch gap is smaller.
