I see that VW have also increased price of their All In product to £900 for the two year’s cover. Maybe warranty claims have cost them more than they originally projected when the £600 price was set or maybe they just see this servicing / warranty product as an easy way to make some extra money (I suspect it’s the latter, not that I’m at all cynical 
), as increasing the monthly cost from £25 to £37.50 in pounds terms doesn’t sound that much, although in percentage terms it’s a very large increase.
VW suggest on their website that the £900 price represents a saving of £766.70 compared to the ‘pay as you go’ prices at a VW dealership. They give a breakdown of the pay as you go prices, which are as follows;

Therefore, IMHO VW’s quoted savings of £766.70 might be a bit misleading. Also, quality of workmanship at the VW dealership might not be a high as you could get at a reputable independent VW specialist.
I dare say the All In product will still sell at the inflated price. However, as with any of these types of product, it always pays to shop around and / or just buy the bits that are important to you.

- 2 services; £505
- Pollen Filter; £43
- Spark plugs / diesel fuel filter; £120
- Air filter; £57
- 2 MOT’s; £109.70
- 2 year’s roadside assistance cover; £220
- 2 year’s warranty cover; £612

That's still over £700, though a DSG issue or water pump could cost that I suppose. As it would be a renewal, I wonder if they'd haggle. I was using it as my daily car, but as the colour is Blackness Grey, I got fed up washing it twice a week, so I bought a 1.6 Zetec Fiesta for a runaround. So the Cupra will be doing even less miles now, if prices hadn't tanked I'd think about selling it.

I have to say my experience of having to use it when something went wrong was very good. Much to my surprise.
I'm in a similar situation;
My 2 Used Approved Warranty is ending soon and contemplating getting a 12 month extension, but only applies to named components as although I'm at 40,000 miles the car is 7 years old.
Had a Service plan and car currently with dealer for service, MOT and a bit of work so thinking of getting the benefits of another year as meets the main dealer maintenance criteria, but won't in another year as will be with my local independent mechanic. Cost will be circa £170 for the year.
Had about 4K worth of warranty work covered under current warranty
Just passed MOT with no advisories, but have to pay dearly for a replacement coolant hose to the pressure cooler!

Coolant hose and new coolant.

Clutch Master Cylinder + Pedal Assembly. + Brake fluid.

Fuel leak near injector 3 or 4.
I stand corrected... After liaising with Seat financial services today it transpires I'm eligible for their 12 month 'All Component' warranty. At £194 with no excess it is a no brainer, especially with the money I've already saved by having a Seat 2 yr Used Approved warranty policy 
SEAT All in has a 20% discount offer now, but only until 2nd April. Discounted price is £720.
My current agreement has a few weeks to run but SEAT Finance said I could end it early and take out a new agreement to take advantage of this offer.
I'll probably do that as my car is 6 years old in a few months and there may not be another special offer before then.
