Seats - Opinions

This is really for peoples opinions as I am considering this but dont know what to do.

As people know Ive been looking for a new set of seats, something that is a straight swap.

On the 'bay there is a set of seats from a '99 Mk2 1.4 Sport which i quite like. The rears have headrests and the door-cards are there aswell.

Just wondered, is it worth it or should i just hold out for a mk2 gti or mk3 cupra interior?

...seen a few porsche seats for sale, that would look well nice...probably a lot though. ill see if i can find u some links.

the 1.4S seats are pretty good i think its the same as the 8v gti seats, it held my bum well when i had them. if you get a good deal on them then get it but otherwise hold out mate, there is a kiwi ibiza 16v on ebay now i believe.

the 1.4 sport seats are a nice seat. lots better than the standard seats and a bit easier on the pocket than a set of cupra or leather ones

i think the only difference is the S embroided on them and the gti's have gti on them

You can buy mines off me if i definately buy some leathers mate.

possibly be a few months with me needing money just now for my business.

you can buy my Gti interior mate, £150 for the whole lot (except doorcards) but you'll get the rear bench and front seats in very good nick.

I put a mk3 golf VR6 Mulberry interior in mine, mk3 golf interiors fit straight in mate

but yeh, buy mine , i'm closer than david

I'm thinking of getting buckets seats soon but won't be selling my interior because I'm thinking of getting a 1.0 mk2, fitting my ronals, 280mm discs, gti shocks, gti spoiler, basically the hand me downs from my snot machine lol. Nice lil run around then....

If you like the loks of the 1.4s ones then go for them! Only problem with getting the Mk2 seats is that you have "GTi" or "Cupra" on them and it's only a 1.4 but if you want the gti/cupra look then hold out for them!

But I am liking Chris idea of the VR6 seats.... or get some mk2 golf recaro's ones (think there's a set going for sale on Club GTi)

ste4232 was selling some original mk2 recaros on here a month ago, they're were mint, i would have bought them but the mulberry was mucho cheaper from a mate

yeh the heating loom isnt wired in, but i've got the switch, just need someone thats handy with wiring diagrams and a soldering iron

the VR interior is very comfy, much more so than the Gti interior, but the VR interiors are rare these days as people keep them, they're worth a lot of money, i got mine for £250, i could easily sell it for £500

yeh i'm only in kingston, literally down the north circular to Hangar lane and then onto the south circular

I wanted a colour concept one so i could have the inserts trimmmed the same colour as my car, but I just dont have the cash rite now
