so the seats that will fit a mk2 ibiza are:

mk4 Polo
mk3 Golf
mk2 Golf

and obviously the "special" seats in other mk2 ibizas, the recaros etc

To be honest, MOST seats will fit, you can use universal subframes (i dont recommend these)

or weld the seats to the bases.

thats not strictly true, my mate jamie has a mk4 polo and a little jiggery pokery and the TT seats went it, dont think he welded them or anything, i'll have a look next time i meet him

I was going to buy his TT seats off him, but the VR interior was too good a bargain

Been after a drivers side seat for my car but can't seem to find any with the same pattern. So i had thought about changing the whole lot to something like the vr6 interior but the amount they cost is a bit out of my reach and a bit much considering it's only 1 seat in my car that is in bad condition.

have to say i like the gti seats in my 1.4 S ibiza, hold you in well but still comfy as well

the 1.4S seats are pretty good i think its the same as the 8v gti seats, it held my bum well when i had them. if you get a good deal on them then get it but otherwise hold out mate, there is a kiwi ibiza 16v on ebay now i believe.

the 1.4 sport seats are a nice seat. lots better than the standard seats and a bit easier on the pocket than a set of cupra or leather ones

The 2 replies above sound encouraging. I thought they looked the same as the 8v seats.

If you like the loks of the 1.4s ones then go for them! Only problem with getting the Mk2 seats is that you have "GTi" or "Cupra" on them and it's only a 1.4 but if you want the gti/cupra look then hold out for them!

Thats what I was thinking, I dont really have the power to match the "GTI" or "Cupra". So i thought the 1.4 seats would be better.

Nah david is closer for me, only a 2 1/2 - 3 hour drive whereas London is about 6!?

You can buy mines off me if i definately buy some leathers mate.

I will get back to you mate, Im gonna keep an eye on the 1.4s seats and see what they go for near the end.

Would the 1.4s seats look alright in a white car?? As my current interior is light and dark grey. Im finding it hard to picture them in my car?!
