Sell the golf and get an ibiza, got a few questions though.

Hi,
At the moment I have a Golf GT TDI. I absolutely love it but would like a change and I'm considering getting and Ibiza TDI Sport. I reckon I could sell the golf for about £5000, would it be possible to get an Ibiza tdi sport for around that much?
I have a few questions about the ibiza though. I know the tdi has 130bhp, but how much power are people realistically getting from remaps?
Secondly, the only thing I really dislike about the ibiza is the ride height. In my opinion it is way too high so I think some coilovers might be on the cards. How much should I expect to pay for some good coilovers, possibly FKs or Eibachs and fitting?
Any help/pictures would be much appreciated.

Cheers, Oli

Ibiza sports come in PD100 and PD130 i believe, ralistic figures for a remapped PD130 are about 160 to 180bhp 0-60 in around 6.5+ secs, springs are available lots of people on here have changed but i haven't so don't know about price, if you can push for a FR TDI you get the PD130 engine and slightly differant gearing, it insurence group 8 and the sports a 7 don't know how that compares to your GT TDi

very doubtful to see 180bhp from just a remap tbh, you may need a few more mods to reach that, but i love my fr, though i will prob be selling it next year, as there is a possibility for a company car

mine had 161bhp at the wheels and 185 at fly [302 lb/ft torque] with a Custom code remap and a FMIC. although most will get 170+ with a remap alone.

coilovers are the onlyway forward IMO, to get the front and back end level.

You can pick up early 2002 Ibiza 130's for around the 5K mark just keep your eye out.

Ive had it superchipped to 170bhp so its not all bad.

Im gutted about selling the Ibiza But......

Auto dim rear view mirror

would never change from a mk4 Golf Gt Tdi to an ibiza tdi 130

Assuming the golf is a 130 gt tdi in the first place, as they are just as quick already.

Cheers for all the answers. The Golf is a 115 but group 10 insurance. I'm 18 and I'm currently insured as a second driver, but in Feb i'm taking out my own policy so the group 7 Ibiza would be alot more feasible. My car is fairly standard performance wise, so a remapped Ibiza would definately be far quicker and lighter, but the main difference would be the interior which in my opinion is much nicer in the Golf than the Ibiza (sorry!).
How much are people dropping their cars? Some pics/details would be more than welcome!
Does anyone know of any good places to get Ibiza parts, such as body parts, suspension etc. I know Awesome do a few but thats pretty much the only place i can find?
Thanks again, Oli

Reading on around these parts (I have tolly not a ibiza) it is about 30mm iirc on the bezzas. Not sure if people are doing more tbh.

If you get it remapped make sure you tell your insurance company ;) ohhh and I think the golf dash is nicer the bezzas too. But how did VW get away with calling the heffalump mk4 a GTI with 115BHP!

To get 192 bhp from Torquetronix in Northern Ireland its £250, heard of others doing same thing for £200 including print outs before and after
