Hey all,

Does anyone get any sensor issues on their car on start up in wet or icy weather? My car (23 plate Cupra Leon 245) will throw up parking sensor failure, front crash assist failure, cruise control failure, and lane assist failure when I start the car particularly in wet or cold conditions. The issues do go away, sometimes after a few minutes of driving, sometimes after I have power cycled the car or on the next drive. I have spoken to Cupra about it who said they wouldnt be able to track anything if its intermittent.

Just wondering if anyone else experiences the same and if so, have you managed to sort it?

Thanks!

@chux27 - The operation of forward facing sensors on some cars can be affected if they’re covered in ice, snow or heavy condensation.

My Cupra and the last 2 cars I had had this frequently. Any car with a sensor will get it loads. Cameras are usually worse because they're ususually not in bits that get cleaned. Usually whatever's on them evaporates or is blown off.
