Service costs

Ok, just a quick question for a few of you. My 1.6 Tdi cr is nearing its first service and I am wondering what people have been paying for their first service. I know my local dealer in Coventry is a bit steep for service costs and don't mind doing a little travelling to get it done. So what are peeps charging and would you recommend them?

When I got mine I went for the two services for £99...so mine will be £50

An interim service (which is all you'd need on a first service) is £89 inc VAT at the moment

Yeah your looking at £99 from a dealer and if your's is £150 see if they will price match!

Cheers for the replies, have been quoted £220 (no seriously) by a dealer in Birmingham, My local dealer wanted some £240 (and If I remember correctly, that was when I purchased the car and would have gone up since). I keep forgetting that the streets are paved with gold where I live, aren't we just talking about a F%$king oil change here.
On a more positive note, Clarks in Kidderminster have said £149 all in which seems a lot more reasonable.

Thats a shame Techie, but not due till the end of the month anyway.
Nightflight, where did you take yours in sheffield? I will have to pass by there at the end of the month so may look to get it done on the way back.

Gilders on Middlewood Road, though they've put the price upto £119 for their first service now,
can't quibble with their customer service though.
