Not too far away
Its 4 services over 48 months so at 10k miles per year you have a service at month 12, 24, 36, 48 at 12k per year you have a service at month 10, 20, 30, 40.

I bought a 3 year service plan with my Leon, which was £249 for 3 services plus the first MOT test.

Seemed a good deal to me!

Because you can't have 4 services in a year if you are doing 12,000 miles as the service intervals are 10,000 miles?

My 1.4 FR TSI has variable service intervals. In theory if it was driven perfectly with the best fuel, oil etc, then you could achieve 18,000 miles plus per annum, still only being serviced once a year. SO that being the case, over a four year period you could achieve 72,000 miles and still only need four services. My lease says to be serviced when required or once a year whichever comes sooner. As I only average about 10K pa, then it will be the once a year route.

This is where it's a bit oohahh missus...

The car has variable service interval. I spoke to my local dealer this morning as being a lease car it was delivered to me from another dealer miles away. I wanted to know if it needed a 1000 mile check or similar, every other new car I have had required an oil change at 1000 miles, gets the swarf out, guess new VW engines dont need it. Anyway, I asked about service intervals and he told me once a year or when it asks for it, even on a SEAT lease I asked, Yes, even then. His comment was that on some lease vehicles they put a long life oil in that is good for upto 18000.

10K per year over 4 years is 4 services, 12K per year over four years should still be four services if you watch the fuel you use and the oil that is used and dont drive it like a muppet.

I don't understand the price difference either, there will not be any extra services required.
