My cars due another service having reached 52k but im in abit of a dilemma on what to do. My car is on a 54 plate with fssh and not long back I was looking to sell the car but the prices that they were going for :-o I couldn’t sell it for that little.

Now Ive come to the conclusion it’s an old car and worth nothing to part exchange / sell - so is it still worth keeping with the full seat service history. Seat are more expensive and you proberly get better value for money with an independent.

Im not the best mechanically minded but have friends that are, so it would work out better for me to buy ‘better quality parts’ and ‘self-service’ it but then you don’t have the stamp in book, just receipts.

My question is: What do you do when your cars due service intervals – take it to seat, independent garage or self-service?

^ this.

Loads of pictures and receipts always helps sell a car.

If you know the right people, a book can be stamped with no work. I know of a book stamped when a mate sold his car so it had full VWSH. But I had done the servicing. The car I bought had a few stamps, then nothing, but a full a4 ring binder of every receipt right down to individual trim clips.

To turn the service indicator off can u not hold the trip button in turn ignition on and then turn the trip button to the right?
