Servicing packages

I'm waiting delivery for my lease to begin, and was considering a maintenance package, however unsure if lease deals require main dealer service Vs a maintenance package that states they use a network of garages.

I don't want to get stung when I hand back the car.

Depends on the finance company. VWFS requires franchised dealer service, other ones have different contract terms. If you received any docs, you can check that or just call them and ask.

Hi mate, both my lease cars can be serviced at an independent garage as long as VAT registered, and uses genuine parts. Confirmed this with the leasing company prior to any work undertaken. This doesn’t invalidate any warranty.

The leasing broker was suggesting a maintenance package but looking at their paperwork it suggests places such as Halfords.
