I've been in contact with Seat to get some clarity on
servicing for my Leon FR ST184....this is what they said....
"The only difference between fixed and flexible
servicing is the oil change element. On flexible the oil change
service interval is up to 18,400 miles or every two years (flexible), and on fixed the oil change
service is every 10000 miles or 12 months
The inspection
service is carried after two years / max. 20,000 miles and then every year or 20,000 miles after that irrespective as to whether the vehicle is on fixed or flexible.
The additional
service items are provided below:
Air Filter - Replace Every six years or 60,000 miles
Brake Fluid - Replace after three, five or seven years.
Diesel Fuel Filter - Replace Every 40,000 miles.
DSG Oil and Filter - Replace at 40,000 miles.
Pollen Filter - Replace every two years or 40,000 miles.
Timing Belt - 140,000 miles or every five years."
This sort of stuff should be in the user manual or
service booklet, but no. Hope this is useful.
I've also asked what additional tasks are carried out during an Inspection
service, over and above a traditional (every 10k / yearly
service). No reply to that one just yet.
