Hi there nebie here,
Just recieved my new Leon FR 1.4 tsi 150 today. Fabulous car :)
My question is,
How do you set satnav destinations as favourites. I cant see how to do it within the sat nav controls and I cant see in the user manual anything about it.
Any help would be great.
Cheers...

Once you've entered a new destination press the function button*
> Store Position

Now Rename it, and store/save that otherwise it will be overwritten.
____________________________________________________________
To access your favourites/stored destinations:
>Nav Main Menu (press the Nav button beside the screen) followed by the function button

>MY DESTS (top left of the screen)

Choose:
- Last destination,
-Destination memory,
-Favourites etc
from the options, which route you want (eco/fast/short) and be on your way.

*function button: "Buttons" at the edges of the touch screen which activate functions or open sub menus.

Thank you for replying, but forgive me if i seem a bit thick, thats not what i was enquiring about.
I am asking how do you make stored destinations favourite so they can be accessed via the favorites tab?
Again thanks for your help.

I never worked this out either and store my dests as above, just can't save as favourites.:(

I'll use the > symbol to indicate when you need to press something:thumbup:

>NAV to open the Main Nav Menu
>MY DEST (function button, Top Left)
>DESTINATIONS

Press the Triangular Arrow symbol on the right of the entry you wish to make a favourite

>EDIT (func. button Lower Left of screen)
>FAVOURITE (func.button Top Left of screen)
>STORE (func.button Lower Left?)
Lastly, press the Memory card symbol* (lower right of the screen) this confirms and stores the entry as a favourite.

Press NAV to return to the main menu.

Hope that helps and works for you. I've just run through it in my car to check and it works, as written above.

Once a flagged destination has been made a Favourite, it gets an asterix in the destinations list.

* the memory card symbol looks like a small rectangle with a corner cut off.

This sounds good, I will try it soon. How did you find this out as there is nowt in the manual that I could find anywhere.

Thanks Dr Dash. Did everything you said until I pressed the triangular arrow then it all fell apart.
On my satnav which is the latest model (allegedly) there is no edit or favourite button. Just the store and save buttons.
I took the car into the local dealer for them to figure it out and they had no idea either.
I'm totally stumped as to what to do and so I guess I’ll just have to forget it.
It is a pain though.

I'll have another look at it when I get some time. I suspect that the starting point may make a difference as to subsequently available function button options, ie. entering a new destination, modifying an already flagged destination etc and possibly whether guidance is enabled or not for the destination to be edited.

I can't remember what the original conditions were for when I successfully edited mine, so rather than guess I'll wait until I've had a fiddle...

I just set the small display to Navigation with the steering wheel buttons, then scroll through recent destinations with thumbwheel, and click it when it shows the one I want.
maybe I need to go to more places??

Read Dr Dash carefully and follow he guidance precisely and you will have the answer. It works for me but I have had to copy it to my phone, as I keep forgetting a step!

You will find there is a limit of the number of favourites you can have, something like 9 or 10.

I'd only need 10 if I was including Aldi/Asda etc....
although I do have it on for long journeys I know by heart, just in case there's a diversion because of traffic.
Even though it never seems to let me know in time:-(

Following the instructions don't work for me, as after pressing the triangle symbol on the left side of the address to be saved as a favourite, the next window has store on the bottom left and not as Dr Dash states = Edit then Favourite menus, so no solution there.

Did you start from "Destinations and contacts" and then press "Destination Memory" before pressing the arrow head? I think you see different screens depending where your start.

You should should then see the screen that Dr. Dash details

I printed out Dr Dash's instructions and followed that to the letter, till the menu on my 280 gave a diff choice, so no I did not start from as above, but will try that later.

Tried this in combination with the Dr Dash instructions above, and now have Favorourites set, great.:happy::happy:
