Again thanks for your help.

I'll use the > symbol to indicate when you need to press something
>NAV to open the Main Nav Menu
>MY DEST (function button, Top Left)
>DESTINATIONS
Press the Triangular Arrow symbol on the right of the entry you wish to make a favourite
>EDIT (func. button Lower Left of screen)
>FAVOURITE (func.button Top Left of screen)
>STORE (func.button Lower Left?)
Lastly, press the Memory card symbol* (lower right of the screen) this confirms and stores the entry as a favourite.
Press NAV to return to the main menu.
Hope that helps and works for you. I've just run through it in my car to check and it works, as written above.
Once a flagged destination has been made a Favourite, it gets an asterix in the destinations list.
* the memory card symbol looks like a small rectangle with a corner cut off.
I just set the small display to Navigation with the steering wheel buttons, then scroll through recent destinations with thumbwheel, and click it when it shows the one I want.
maybe I need to go to more places??
Read Dr Dash carefully and follow he guidance precisely and you will have the answer. It works for me but I have had to copy it to my phone, as I keep forgetting a step!
You will find there is a limit of the number of favourites you can have, something like 9 or 10.
Did you start from "Destinations and contacts" and then press "Destination Memory" before pressing the arrow head? I think you see different screens depending where your start.
You should should then see the screen that Dr. Dash details
