Shark fin aerial?

Just saw this on flea bay. Do you reckon it would work on our cars? Trying to decide between this and a short stubby aerial.

This looks quite nice mate, be nice if we could get one like on the VW's, wonder how much they are from the dealers?
I can't see why it wouldn't work, have you ever taken yours off? is it just cable or is there a connector there?

Just put the citroen one on my car today:

And from the side, with an apparent stupid jib!:

For such a small thing it makes a noticeable difference to the look of the car, happy with it!

That is what I am rtying to decide on. How long is that aerial by the way, the other I saw on flea bay is 6.5cm long. I have not opened the aerial up but I think techie has mentioned it may not work. Hoping this will though.

yep it's the flea bay one, 6.5 cm long, same aerial as in sc16v's guide on how to change the aerial, can't say i've noticed in real difference in reception either.

I now have the same one as SC16v and it is great. Good reception. Fits perfect.

Simple screw in jobby, the original anti theft one needs a bit of wiggling from side to side to get out but once done just screw new one in, makes a huge difference!

Amazon UK are selling OEM Audi 5mm Grub screw stubby (6.5cm) aerials. Market place seller £7.75 + £1.49 p&P. Bit more than fleabay but safer and more reliable imo

I've ordered one.

Which stubby is that mate? Maybe an dodgy one you got?

Not got round to fitting mine yet so not really been able to assess performance. Been a bit wet or just to busy at work. Not great fitting it in the dark!

It's the same aerial as the guys above are talking about. Mine must be faulty as I haven't heard anyone else with the same problem. Let me know how you get on with yours mate.

i know i have a leon but i got a stubby and the reception is markedly worse that the OE aeriel.

Looks 100 times better mind!

I bought a stubby one in brushed aluminium (50mm), works fine and looks good according to me


Yes its the eco-spoiler... And i love it

If anyone wonders, the logos on the side is because i was making a transformers-theme on the car before..

I was gonna say that looks like the transformer glifs off the 2nd film. I like the eco spoiler.
