I am now declaring myself JKM's number 1 customer i must have spent most of my years salary down there thankfully they are worth every penny of it just a shame my car seems to love their garage more than my driveway.

But today its the turn of the waterpump and cambelt along with 60k service and to find out why she is still misfiring and(yes there is more) to replace one of the side repeater sockets as the bulb has gone 7 times in that socket in the past 2 years so there has to be something wrong with it.

I have also said if they find anything else wrong with sort it as i would rather get it over and done with so i can start to enjoy stage 2 rather than constantly going back and forth.

I am also declaring myself the unluckiest R driver about but i want people to challenge that to make me feel good. Here is a list of the problems i have had with my car see if you can beat it.

Side repeater bulb gone 7 times
Back brake light gone 3 times
Tyre puncture 4 times
Temp gauge keeps rising when it feels like it
Countless amounts of boost issues
Split hoses
Limp mode 3 times
Coil pack caught fire
Coil pack failed
Spark plugs fubard
Car still misfiring even after new plugs and packs
Car running lean until stage 2
Car always struggles to make power on RR(not a problem just gets my goat)
Fast fans kicking in even when cold
CD changer being a see you next thursday
Airbag warning light kept coming on for about 6 months due to faulty drivers airbag
Top suspension mounts on both front mounts buggered
Before stage 2 car would only pull 178g/s even after 2 new mafs and Investigation by JKM
Jet wash damaged the paint on the fuel cap had that resprayed
Curbed all 4 of my wheels
Broke the right hand screw on my engine cover now only have the one screw so if anyone knows where to get one let me know
The rubber bungs on the engine cover are missing - if you know where to get them let me know
Coolant temp sensor needed replacing after beeping at me every morning
The standard rear wiper scored my rear window with the metal spring every time i used it didnt notice until i changed to fabia rear wiper.

As i remember more i will post them up but try and beat that

only the plugs and one of the coil packs but i dont think it was down to stage 2, stage 2 in itself is why i havnt yet drove her into a wall, is assisted suicide against the law, the noise the exhaust makes and the power is awesome

She is back and i think she has learnt a lesson today well she better had cos if she hasnt i am sending her to the Gobi Desert then she will learn.

Anyway what was wrong with her basically the non VAG coil packs couldnt handle 301lbs ft of torque lol after they put 2 VAG ones in she worked a treat

So here is the best bit i was expecting to pay somewhere between £650-£950 for the work. This is what was done

60K service incl;

Anti freeze x 3
Oil filter
Pollen filter
Fuel filter
Oil disposal
Synta Gold Oil x 4.5Ltres
Brake Cleaner
Cambelt Tensioner
Waterpump(i supplied)
Hydraulic Tensioner inc Pully
Indicator Bulb Holder
Ingnition Coil x 2
Cambelt

Plus the labour came to

£561.83

I was over the moon and they cleaned my car so again i cant fault them and even though they have seen more of my car than i have i cant thank them enough for all the work they have done on her so thankyou JKM

Dude - stop putting them all in a list! You'll feel better!

I can honestly say that a lot of the things on your list are tiny issues - and that I've had a lot of them too! If I were to list them all out - I'm sure i could make my list longer.....

Anyway, hopefully you'll cure the bigger of the issues you have - and you'll feel much happier :)

its funny actually its not until i put them in a list did i realise how small some of them were so in some ways i am glad i did it but at least she is back to her normal self although the gauge still rises and the fans kick in but oh well god knows what that is at least i know the water pump wont fail on me and apparently my old waterpump was in quite good condition

mate trust me go for it she is a monster with stage 2 as i say stage 2 has only highlighted an issue with the non vag coils apart from that she flys

about £20 from gsf, you can do it in 5 minutes, its located in one of the coolant pipes to the right of the engine next to the block

i dont have a picture to hand but if you search on here or google for the temp sensor im sure you can find a pic
