not to worry mate, best off seeing that now before you fell for it...

theres tons for sale matey, keep looking.

id look for one stock if you can, then have the fun of modding it yourself.

Agreed. But ive got a bit of a tihgt budget so we will have to see. The other car i Was looking at was a 1.8t quattro a3.

I just really didnt like the delivery of the power in that leon. It almost felt like it had all the power of the engine dumped between 2/3000 rpm and it always felt like it wanted to spin the wheels in those rev ranges, and then died.

All remaps arnt like that are they?

Are you able to get them so that they are pregressive? build up the higher the revs? like it does from the factory?

nah, just pants maps, they send thew power low down the range to make it feel fast, its all bout having a smooth torque curve

thats why i said have it done again by a reputable mapper...

where you based?

Im down in london.

I just felt really crap. Would be really pissed myself if I had that on my car.

Ive driven quite a few 20vts but that really put me off. My old Vr6 felt so much quicker than that. Just pulled so much harder through the rev range. And it want as powerful.

What would you suggest?

I just hope the next few cars I drive restore my faith as I know they are good engines.

Will keep you posted!
