You can just drill a hole in the existing shifter on the gear box and put a nut a bolt through for short throw. Looking at that photo I wouldn't know where to start with that one. Search short shift 02m I take it yours is the 6 speed?

The eBay short shifter kits is only £20, you won't need to drill anything then and will be able to adjust to suit.

I have been running one for the last 6 months, it's a copy of the Forge one and works spot on, Quite a few people run them.

If you have a Leon then yes they are very easy to install but they won't fit the Ibiza gearbox (my son had the Ibiza FRTDI and the lever was totally different)
