Whos changed there steering wheel to one of another car or bought an after market one..

I want to change mine, thinkin of a momo team 300mm.. and who has fitted the boss kits you can buy?

ta :)

TBh it's not really something i have seen replaced.
I guess when you inform the insurance you have removed the air bag, they might not be to happy.

Always been a fan of the momo wheels, have considered it in the past, but the whole insurance/safety thing has always stopped me from doing it.

Heres my Mk4 R32 wheel.

I was'nt too keen to start with as I prefered the LCR one with it's red stiching and red band around the top but his has really grown on me :D, It's quite a bit thicker than the LCR one and it's got all the bumps in the right places :D

how things have changed when I was younger  the first mod I did was get a new steering wheel on my MKI Escort tiny little rally wheel didn't even know what an air bag was :D:D

That omp one looks nice!.. i would get a momo team 280mm but there supidly small and think they only really suit little lupos/saxos etc ..

I've got an RMD 330mm suede wheel in mine, on a momo boss kit.

Much nicer than standard, although I'm not sure I'd bother changing in a road car.

I've just got my mono team 280' can't wait to get it on ! It's stupidly smaller than the standard one but will be like Mario kart !!!

Best thing is the airbag just pops straight back onto it, nothing needs changed at all.

Been enjoying mine since 2004 [B)], looks a wee bit more shiny than D.K.'s one above though lol. Scored a bargain when I got it, brand new, £100 without airbag, delivered from Germany via ebay, shipped in the original VW box :p
