hi

quite a large gap has appeared between the top of the skirt and the bodywork. Right above the jacking point,

On closer inspection, looks as if its bent slightly, the clips are aligned properly.

Is is a common fault??? or is there an easy way of fixing this?? im guessing the person who owned the cupra before me tried to fix it with some sealant as i can see some old stuff left down the gap. Maybe someone messed up when jacking the car previously??

is there a easy fix for this?? or any recommendions for putting it back like a v strong glue/ sealant??

P.S this is def just skirt not sill

thanks again for your help

hi, mine went a bit like this when i had it sat on a lift for a few hours.. it is where someone has used a trolley jack (or lift) near the original jacking points, pushing the skirt out of shape. I left mine parked with my jack and a piece of rubber pushing the side skirt back into shape overnight and it has regained its original shape :) if not, maybe gentley heat it up with a heat gun and then hold in shape?

well im buying some extra strength poller glue today, if it works ill let u know what i used.

Mine has done this so has a few others that I know. Mine is down to the jacking point rib on the car bending and pushing the side skirt out of place. The only way I can solve this is to cut out the offending piece of metal or some of the plastic of the side skirt
