Siezed shocks?

car went away today to have a diffrent set of suspension fitted, i get a call a few hours later saying that the shocks have siezed in to the hubs (what ever that means!!!) and that he needs a hydrolic thingie to undo it .. and since he doesnt have one it wil lneed to go else where and be done.

any one else heard of this.. and why it happenes? he didnt say which one it was that he did tho, the cars a 53 plate and has 26K miles on it.

he needs a hub seperator.... same as on the mk4 golf mk4 ibiza and many other cars.

i used a large chisel to pry them open on my mkiv golf.they do take some getting out though

hes pickign me up in a second.. i will pass on this as i am rather bumed that he coudnt do them. hes more of a VW person.. so eh.
i will take it else where but i wanted it done as soon as. but oh well.
