Dear SEAT fans and SEATCUPRA.NET forum members,

On Thursday this week the forums will be going offline while it undergoes a major upgrade.

This is to bring a number of enhancements. Some of these include:

Faster site
Ability to upload your own images
Better mobile support (we’re keeping the Tapatalk integration as well)
Better integration with the news site
More secure
Modern styling

We have also will have a restructuring of the forums to make things a bit tidier and reflected some of the changes in SEAT and our community over the years.

Thanks for reading.

Can we add a few more moderators please.

Can you also split the pre facelift and Facelift cars

Lastly can you add a MANUALS section where people can post HOW TO infor so its all in one place.

Good feedback

We're always looking for moderators that are about.

I'm finding our time is harder to dedicate (especially now I'm +4hrs, and 2500 miles away)

ok so I am a mod on another site and what we do is look for users who help other's out and then invite them to be a mod, how do you guys want to work it, you invite us or do you want us to put ourselves forward.

Not looking for a job just to help others be clear on what the process is going to be.

Reminder this is happening today at 10. The forum structure as it is currently will be moving over ( I made some changes last week), although all feedback will be considered and nothing is permanent.

The priority is to get onto the new platform first.

Thanks

Wow what happened

I’ve been frozen in carbonite for a few years, finally someone pressed the correct button and thawed me out.

Ooh look someone’s been decorating

Some trivial points.
As I said in my previous post can we split Facelift and Prefaclift cars as there are a number of differences in both system coding and body's so the answers can confuse people.

http://forums.seatcupra.net/index.php?forums/vag-com-diagnostics.104/ can we change the name so it reflects the fact that we have VCDS, OBD11, Carista etc users who can help people resolve car issues.

Just takes a bit of getting used to but the home button on the top of the thread takes you to site page rather than Forum home page (which i would prefer as I cruise the Forum not the main page)

Overall though very happy with the upgrade.

Two more comments.

Wanted to update my previous post but I could not see how I make changes after I have posted.

https://forums.seatcupra.net/index.php?forums/ask-for-help-with-your-car-and-faqs.33/ - like having this section but it might make sense going forward if it were subdivided into individual cars (I only look for leon and Ibiza so that is the post's I would be looking for).

Will need to look into permissions. We need to review those.

Re FAQs - I debated that but didn't want to duplicate the structure of the model forum. Have added a sticky that might help, let's see how it goes, can always separate it in the future if needs be.
