The polishing's easy, if you dont want to polish the port's you could spary them black, thats what I'm thinking about doing.

Thats kind of what I did in the end, I polished the ports till half way down then blacked the bit that goes under the plastic cover.

hi mate nice car, ive just got a copper cupra 20v t , had some problems tho so took it to a.m.d and it turned out to be the k+n filter i put on a few days before!! just wanted to warn u! they said the air flow meter gets covered in the oil k+n use! they fitted a pipercross to mine and its been fine since. mods wise go d/v, airfilter, map for 200 +

Yeah be carefull with the K&N.
Dannybooth, when you clean the PiperX dont oil it otherwise you'll end up with the same problem.

I've just ordered a new filter for the induction kit I'm making, I went for the Apexi from this review as its a dry filter.

It can do but it can also suffer from heat soak and lose power.

Heatsoak is debatable as it gets sucked through the hot turbo but yeah its best to mount it behind the bumper or use a nice air feed to it.

I'm only changing from my green filter in modified box because i like the sound of the forge valve through the filter.....I'm not expecting a power increase although it would be nice

Everybody has got there own opinion abaut air filter's, the best thing is to find one you like

Dont know about BHP improvement, think its all in the mind, the NUESPEED sounds like an beast. Can really hear the DV now.
MPG is gonna suffer as im booting it everywhere!

thanks d.k , yer a.m.d said the same. how can k+n sell the filters if they damage the air flow sensor tho!!!!! all i need now is a map and to lower it oh and brake pads and service/cambelt (its never ending) ha ha
