hey guys had my leon for for about a year and a half now, some of which has been filled with trouble free motoring however allot of it has been rather painful ownership as i have ran in to alot of problems with Leona...(her name now) i have done a few things to her.

this is how shee looked about august last year..

i sold those alloys as was going to sell the car on so she now sits on the old standerd 16" alloys.

im thinking about going bbs ch reps or 3sdm alloys next.

spec so far

brand new KO3S turbo
forge 007p with yellow spring
revo stage 1
generic large cone filter
variouse silicone hoses
Brembo discs
Ferodo pads
powerflex dogbone mount
fabia rear wiper
n249 bypass
k&n oil filter
boost guage and nomad pod
8000K HID conversion
led numberplate lights

i bought the car with no service history so i toolk a gamble but the car looked clean and so did the engine i had been assured by previouse owner it had been well maintained so i did some checks oil was mint still golden, the brake fluid had a good boiling point (toolk a mesuring device from work) also the coolant had a good protection level so i was happy it had been looked after! although full leather seats swung me!

also did a check on the DVLA website for previous mot's and turned out car has genuine mileage!

then the mods began!

first i thought i would do a oil service new plugs and whilst i was ordering stuff a awsome/forge 007p dv

i got a mk4 golf K&N oil filter i have always used these on my old mr2 i had oil pressure guage and fitted one of these and noticed a good diffrence.

then i got some RS4 rep alloys with yokohama parada spec 2's

then lack of money kept me from doing anything big so i done the n249 bypass

but realised when i toolk the plastic air chamber off i dident block that hose off

problems started shortly after as i was getting an unplesent whining sound from the turbo :(

so when i had enough money this got bought!

shiney!

after it was all fitted ran like a dream and then i bought a boost guage and nomad pod that i was a little disapointed ith as i had to screw it down for £50 i thought it would have used the same style fastners.

at that point my brakes were looking prittie poor so orderd some brembo discs, ferodo pads and whilst i was on the internet i bought filter and a hose kit from kellsport to replace all the top end hoses in the engine bay :funk:

lloking good mate , but why do you cupra r intake and or cupra r 386cc injectors , if your planning on sticking with k03s turbo that stuff is not needed , only needed if your going hybrid and even then you standard inlet manifold will be more than adequate

I saw a guy on here running one with the cupra r charge pipe yellow LC forgot his name on here and in my mind thats a better setup that will get rid of the pancake pipe and will make it Easyer to fit an fmic in my opinion and aparantly I have to use the injectors with the mani

iv taken a photo of guage pod and guage all in

what you guys thing of my work today

Small update, am really loving the car after the revo software but I feel the boost isn't holding long enough so I fitted a yellow spring in the 007p but that's made the peak boost lower than the green spring but has held the boost a little longer, it peaks at rufley 1.5bar the holds at about 1.1/1.2 bar wich is low for my liking and tails off to nearly standard boost 0.7/0.8 bar at about 5krpm wich sucks

Not really sure what to do I think my n75 valve is on it's way out so gonna try a H see if I get some more boost out of that

Any suggestions guys?

Well looking at lee's (link guru) boost fluctuation issue solve by running a forge UNOs mbc convinced me when I get my car mapped I'm running one with no n75 valve

Lol yea iv just done some more digging and think this is the right way to go I like the idea of replacing a stupid electronic device with somthing I can adjust manually also! And as an mapped already I suppose I can run 1.5bar constant?!

I get ya, I'm still running standard tip aswell so that int helping plus still standard exhaust and standard down pipe all need to be done for higher boost rigt..

just fitted my forge unos, done it with the n75 unplumbed im on revo stage one and im holding 1.4bar constant its made a hell of a difference! befor i had a problem holding boost it would peek at 1.5 but drop right of to 1bar but now it hits 1.4bar every time all the time!

Small unfortunate update! Been loosing coolant some where but havent seen any puddles then noticed I was getting quite abit of steam coming out the back of her so I ha her sniff tested at work and unfortunately it came up green... twice! So head gasket has gone :-( £250 for head kit, head bolts, Cambelt and water pump so shall be attempting this Monday!... Great wish me luck..
