hey guys had my leon for for about a year and a half now, some of which has been filled with trouble free motoring however allot of it has been rather painful ownership as i have ran in to alot of problems with Leona...(her name now) i have done a few things to her.
this is how shee looked about august last year..
i sold those alloys as was going to sell the car on so she now sits on the old standerd 16" alloys.
im thinking about going bbs ch reps or 3sdm alloys next.
spec so far
brand new KO3S turbo
forge 007p with yellow spring
revo stage 1
generic large cone filter
variouse silicone hoses
Brembo discs
Ferodo pads
powerflex dogbone mount
fabia rear wiper
n249 bypass
k&n oil filter
boost guage and nomad pod
8000K HID conversion
led numberplate lights
i bought the car with no service history so i toolk a gamble but the car looked clean and so did the engine i had been assured by previouse owner it had been well maintained so i did some checks oil was mint still golden, the brake fluid had a good boiling point (toolk a mesuring device from work) also the coolant had a good protection level so i was happy it had been looked after! although full leather seats swung me!
also did a check on the DVLA website for previous mot's and turned out car has genuine mileage!
then the mods began!
first i thought i would do a oil service new plugs and whilst i was ordering stuff a awsome/forge 007p dv
i got a mk4 golf K&N oil filter i have always used these on my old mr2 i had oil pressure guage and fitted one of these and noticed a good diffrence.
then i got some RS4 rep alloys with yokohama parada spec 2's
then lack of money kept me from doing anything big so i done the n249 bypass
but realised when i toolk the plastic air chamber off i dident block that hose off
problems started shortly after as i was getting an unplesent whining sound from the turbo
so when i had enough money this got bought!
shiney!
after it was all fitted ran like a dream and then i bought a boost guage and nomad pod that i was a little disapointed ith as i had to screw it down for £50 i thought it would have used the same style fastners.
at that point my brakes were looking prittie poor so orderd some brembo discs, ferodo pads and whilst i was on the internet i bought filter and a hose kit from kellsport to replace all the top end hoses in the engine bay
