Does anyone know if the skoda mfd3 will work in the seat?

Yes, it should do in exactly the same way the VW version does - although saying that I have not seen a VW or a Seat fitted with the Columbus unit

Does it work in the same way an illuminate the same! it looks the same and I belive it has the same vw part no.

i think it illuminates green the same as the scoda dials i could be wrong tho i know the mfd2 is also green

The illuminaton is green, so I wouldnt bother...
