Our 2018 Leon ST has developed a couple of (possibly related?) electrical gremlims.
1/ The driver's door window one-touch now only works when winding the window back up. I've tried the prescribed reset, but it hasn't fixed it. All the other windows are fine and the mirrors adjust and fold OK.
2/ If you unlock the car and open the boot without opening any of the other doors, then after a short time the car will lock itself back up. With the tailgate still open, this then sets the alarm off. If you open one of the other doors as well as the tailgate, everything is fine. The car doesn't have KESSY BTW.
Anyone experienced this before, or have any bright ideas about the cause?

For the second one, the car should automatically re-lock itself if no doors are opened but the tailgate being opened should disable that. When you open the tailgate there should be an indication of it being open in the dash display. If that indication is not there, then the microswitch that senses it is likely faulty. I think it is in the locking mechanism,

And for the first, could it just be a faulty switch?

For 1/ the window switches gradually failing is a common issue - might need replacing. Loads of new clones available on eBay (kind of hinting at how common this kind of fault is) - BUT just note that ones with red backlight, if that's what you have, are a bit harder to find. I found out afterwards as I didn't realise this at the time and after installation I just had a wierd feeling something wasn't quite right.. took a few days to realise what it was! DIY replacement possible but slightly fiddly (Youtube guides or here: https://www.seatcupra.net/forums/threads/window-button-replacement-fun.478158/#post-5073437 ): door liner/card off job.

It certainly does look itself up if you unlock but don't open any doors, so that is working. I'll check the dash display tomorrow.
Thanks 👍🏻

I wondered about the switch, given it's the one that gets the most use.
Thanks for the link 👍🏻
