Slipping belt squealing kind of noise...

I have just noticed that when under moderate acceleration from 1750rpm~ (40mph) up to 2000rpm~ in 4th gear my progress is accompanied by this new noise which is best likened to a belt slipping. Car is 6 months old, 4k miles FR170.

I'd be interested to hear if anyones else has had a similar issue. As for me....I'll be ringing the dealer Monday and getting it booked in.

Have u had any look with your problem as I am experiencing the same sort of problem.

I took the car back to the supplying dealer whose technician took the car for a drive with me in it. He heard the noise but didn't think it anything sinister. I was certain that it hasn't been there all the time...but there you go.

I'd say take it in and see if you can get an opinion on it. It may be you make more progress than I did.
