just whacked into the back of driver who was to busy eating ......
so now have cupra r with semi lght front end damage(radiator gone ,bonnet gone etc) my question is how to proceed should i go to one of these no fault claim things, can i demand a like for like loan car(know i read a link where someone ended up with a scobby) I've got two witness who saw everything so would appreciate other peoples expirence... how long will I be without car ,how much will it raise my preminum(i assuming it gonna cost at least 2k to put right) I have protected n.c.b(full) but my renewal is up the end of this month and my current inurance company is not the cheapest, last year was £600 full comp for business now wants £800 admiral only want £500 pre crash

as you people have a wealth of expirence I would appreciate everyone's view

Am quite lucky as company i work for have lent spare mondeo(dull)

going to say that its always the person from behind thats to blame - not paying attention to roads and too close to car in front to brake safely in time...

but good luck to ya.

i understand that entirely. except i was in the right lane fillter going to turn right on a green traffic light and this person pulled out of their lane ( going straight over when the lights changed for the straight over filter ) and then they sat staionery on a green light ,I know i know everyone will be saying rear end shunt your fault but as they say happend in a spilt second and the two very nice people who offered to be supporting witness said to the person why didyou stop

If i can strike an example imagine going down a dual carrigeway when the car in the left lane pull in front and for no reason at all stops ,thats what happend proably gonna get screwed but that life

Too busy eating to do what?

At least if you 've got protected no claims your premium shouldn't go up too much. Just accept you did it and get it sorted so you can get your car back on the road.

Edit: I was still writing when you posted. You'll still have a big job getting anything. A mate had someone sideswipe him on the motorway onto the front corner round to the front as he went past in a line of car in the 3rd lane. It lasted 9 months before their insurance company paid out.
