But the focus is a heavy mother!!!!! I have never had a problem with turbo lag with my car. Car felt quick standard and feels quick now.

The pre-facelift 3 door ST is barely heavier than the LCR, 1392 kg plays 1375. The facelifted Focus, on which the RS is based, got a bit fatter, coming in at a rather portly 1470kg.

Depends how much power the focus had but I've been in one and it was a let down tbh. The LCR is deceptively smooth. The engine is bullet proof too.

The Focus was last dyno'd at 299bhp, but it was way way smoother than the stock LCR. Again, I don't want to compare apples to oranges - as I said, the Leon cost me relative peanuts whereas I spent a fortune getting the Focus just so.

why did you get rid of the st? i love st's just not in orange... hope yours wasnt orange!!! lol...

Heh, no mine was blue! The Mrs wouldn't let me have an orange one! As for selling, I sold it because I was barely using it, I had a lot of credit card debt and an eight grand car sat on the driveway whilst I'm racking up credit card interest was just silly. Sold the focus, paid a lump off the card, bought the LCR... and here I am.

Of course, I now find myself standing atop that slippery slope again. Head says walk away, heart says "go on, just one more time..."

With your credit card catching your eye every time you open you wallet. I know the feeling.

I reckon they lied about the weight of the pre-facelift focus to be honest mate. They're all at it!

The beauty about the LCR (especially when coming from a V8 Beemer) is its pretty darn cheap to mod it up to a cracking, fast as fook little car. Everything mods wise is peanuts compared to what I'm used to.

Don't loose faith in your LCR yet. Spend a few quid, just not too many! I have so much more fun in my LCR than I did in my 5 series it's ridiculous. You could say its "not as good" as the Beemer, and there's a whole forum of 5er drivers who'd agree I'm sure, but it's not better to me. The LCR is waaaaaaay better in my opinion.

It puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. I don't sh*t myself all the time that something's gonna break and it'll cost 2 grand to repair. I go round corners much quicker. And I'm no longer lugging round an extra 400 kilos for the sake of it.

I think you should get yours sorted and start enjoying it :)

you haven't got enough post for me to pm you , to be honest i wish i had lag in my car soon as it hits 1500 rpm it lights up the the front wheels traction for me at the mo is a *******
