Hey all!

this is my 06 leon fr tdi after a year of ownership and a few mechanical hiccups i think its about time to start making her my own with a few minor mods done and lots more planned, in keeping with naming all my cars i decided to name her Sofia as a nod to her spanish origins and bright sunny yellow paint (which we all know is the fastest colour)

Planned
- stage 1 remap
- decent set of alloys
-painting / wrapping roof black
- decent set of mid range tyres
- front splitter

Done
- wrapped wing mirrors black
- wrapped grille surround and lower bumper
- re apply badges

Day 1 after the valet, nice and shiny!

Old badges were looking a bit miserable so replaced those

Wrapped wing mirrors, grille surround and lower bumper in matte black always loved how they looked on the cupras

(not the best of angles or pictures but ill take some more when i next have the chance)

thats about it so far for this month had to fork out for some minor mot repairs and then did a decent service so not much money left for mods until next month. hopefully there should be many more updates soon as im really liking this car now.

if anyone has any ideas for mods including a few cheaper ones that i can do until next payday id be glad to hear them!

cheers
Jack

Nice Ride, love the Yellow, If you are able to you should come along to the Club anual meet and you can see a few more Leons MK1,2 & 3 as well as other cars.

Have you thought about painting you brake calipers to match the bodywork and if you like this sort of stuff you can now buy side indicators that work like the Audi lights (Dynamic indicators link here ). Led Lights inside if you dont have them already.

Have fun its addictive.

thanks mate really liking it here, the calipers were a thought, i never liked red calipers as i think theyre so overdone but with a nice set of black alloys i think colour matched yellow calipers would look great.

i did consider doing something with the lights, might go with hid sidelights and then main lights later on and im not too sure what colour the interior lights are to begin with, mine are blue but ive always assumed they were that from standard?

So, it's been a few months and I've managed to tick 2 mods off the list, I've always hated the alloys the car came with and have kinda been putting off getting new ones due to the price but decided it was time to spend the cash to get them sorted, I managed to pick up a used set of 18" cupra Orion wheels in black.

They were looking a little bit sorry and the tires were old and nearing bald. got them delivered and to my surprise they scrubbed up well with some help from the trusty karcher, then down to my local garage for a full set of Falken ZE310s which were a nice mid range option with good performance

What a difference compared to my old tires, instantly felt more responsive to everything and I definitely need that living and working in wet Wales down a few slippery back road, good thing about the roads however is they give me some great picture opportunities.

Now to wait until next payday where i can hopefully tick something else of the list :)
