Was nice to meet you today Crafoo.

I don't think you'll have any height issues with springs, my is fine and there is some massive speed bumps around my area.

Your Revo intake on the rr today sounded really good I was surprised how much louder it was compared to my Evoms.

Nice to meet you too dude :)

Yeah I don't think the drop is that aggressive to cause me any issues.

The Revo seems to be the kit of choice at the moment, it does sound pretty good when you open the taps doesn't it.

Nice to see what you did with the engine cover too, I'll have to get that done and tidy the engine bay up a little.

Hi Crafoo,

Good results with the stage 1 mate, the REVO air intake won't let you down, I love mine. If you do go down 2+ route I can highly recommend the Loba fuel pump, it's an awesome piece of kit.

Hopefully I'll make it to one of your Northern car meets this summer, we're doing 5 shows this season so will be pretty busy. Working on Quattro Kung Fu as we speak, currently dismantled into more pieces than ever before! bit of daunting sight lol

Cheers fella, yeah I was mightily impressed with the end result, pulls really nice and hard now and seems to be effortless getting up to speed.

I think I'll be hanging off with doing much more certainly at the moment, it's been a very expensive month lol, just going to enjoy what I've got, next couple of things on the list will be putting the Eibachs on and getting a service done.

Yeah it'd be great to see you with the motor in one piece!! We'll definitely have a few gatherings in the summer so make sure you get to one ;)

I'm thinking when I have a bit of spare money (after I've done few handling mods) I'm going to keep an eye on the for sale sections for a Revo intake.

The modded engine cover really does tidy the engine bay up, it hides the ugly tfsi engine nicely.

Spare money! What's that!!!? lol

Keep an eye open mate they are a good bit of kit, they seem to hold their price pretty well though because they are wanted by people.

I think the engine cover is a must yeah :)

Lol, not sometime I've had a lot of lately. When your modding a car there is always something you either want or need so it goes on that.

Another reason I modded my cover was I remember reading somewhere about people getting water standing on the coil packs and causing problems because they didn't have an engine cover on.

That's a really good point actually, I had the bonnet liner "fix" done but not sure how much it's helped in reality.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for a cheapo engine cover :)

Still don't get how you've got a 30BHP increase just because of an intake, i'd be well chuffed lol

Combination of the intake and the new code I'd say mate, but I am very pleased, numbers are just bragging rights at the end of it all, main thing for me is that it drives so nice both on and off boost.

That intake is a great piece of kit. A fella ran his new completely standard Cupra except the Revo ceramic intake at out RR day and it made 25bhp over standard. Its quite common that these motors ran over the quoted 240bhp anyways. As does the R versions.

I appreciate the whole dyno lottery angle and to be honest while it's nice to put a figure to the car it's not something that really matters, all I know is it pulls like a bloody train now and 3rd gear even in the dry I can feel the front wheels just starting to lose grip and that's with practically new Goodyear Eagle F1s on.

Like Eck says the Revo, whilst being on the expensive side, does kind of warrant the spend because it does seem to return the results.

Never stopped enjoying the car mate ;) loved it since the day I bought it, just a bit of a pain in the bottom when stuff crops up, especially when you're skint lol
