It's ok I'll let you off because you helped me make my mind up ;)

I'll be keen to see the difference with the new clutch in though, hardest part will be taking it easy for the first 500 miles or so to let it settle in.

Received my Haribo today, which very oddly also came with a free Sachs clutch and release bearing, winner! :D

I've never had Haribo GOLDBÄREN before but you have to spoil yourself every now and then :)

Hi mate, Very nice car. Love following the updates :) Good luck with the clutch and the map. :)

I'm in exactly the same boat. Clutch started slipping after APR map.
Can I ask where you got your clutch from and part numbers so I can do a little digging around and see what they go for?
Cheers

Thanks for the kind words mate :)

I've been told by a few people that the clutch doesn't always hold out well after a stage 1 so I'm not surprised you're in need of a new one lol.

I bought mine from Samtech performance, the guy on here FR_Kris is the gaffer there mate so feel free to PM him as he was really helpful when I had questions.

I'm not sure if I have the part numbers but I'll have a look for them. I did quite a lot of looking about and Samtech was as cheap as anywhere, plus they ship the kit with a release bearing which you don't get from most places I noticed.

If you look on there website they may have a part number for the kit, can't remember off hand.

Cheers

Quick update, the car has been in for the clutch doing, got a phone call a few hours in to say that the flywheel is toast! So I need budget for that too now :(

Should be ready to pick up tomorrow dinner time.

Pedal is a lot heavier than stock but I was prepared for that and in truth I really don't mind it at all, just need to be aware when you release the clutch pedal, it'll take a little getting used to but I'm happy.

So far so good and I've noticed the car seems quieter when it starts up. Now begins the process of running it in, just hoping that I can still afford this APR at the end of the month
