Afternoon lads,

I've recently sold my 2000(x) Subaru Impreza Turbo - Dont ever buy one, they are an absolute money pit!

Anyway, im in the market for a Cupra 20VT. I'm having a little trouble locating one locally'ish that meets my picky standards, but I cant wait to get info and advice from everyone once i've sourced one.

I'll keep my eye on the "For Sale" forum down below, and fingers crossed I find what im looking for. If anyone knows of a nice 00-02 Cupra for sale (Black, Silver, Blue) thats under 70,000 give me a shout. I'm in the Surrey/London area.

I've got about £5250 possibly a little more if its a corker, so I should find something half decent with that? I'm not fussed if its been tuned, as a mate has a lot of bits from his 300+ bhp Cupra he used to own that he's going to sell to me.

There are a few yellow ones on ebay and autotrader, but I dont really fancy a yellow one. The others on ebay/autotrader are all higher mileage as well, fingers crossed there will be a few more on tomorrow. I'll go check out piston heads now.

SuperCupra - That £6250 Cupra is gorgeous, but I dont think I could stretch to £6250 - The most I've got is about £5600.

Do not buy that car, i went to see it when it initially came up for sale about a year ago and it was a complete and utter shed, the spec looks promising and the 1/4 mile times it has run in the past and the big folder of receipts are impressive....

but, the owner before this guy must of completely abused it. When I went to see it, it felt slower than my remapped K03 ibiza at the time and more worringly when i checked the oil there was none !! the guy also just ragged the hell out of it before it was warmed up.

My advice is steer clear

With the money u have you should have no worries in picking up a well looked after standard example

I've just called the fella in peterborough, and he said the front bumper doesnt line up perfectly which makes me think its been in a prang. He also said "erm..." a lot and sounded nervous, so im not that confident about that one. I'll just have to keep looking I think.

So Pixy, is ther any leeway on the price? - Its a gorgeos motor, but a bit on the expensive side. What alloys are they by the way, if I dont have the honor of owning yours I think I might copy the wheels. I showed my missus your motor last night and she was saying "buy that one". Just a bit over my budget really.
