Looks ace Dan! But your front discs are on the wrong sides :) no big deal, but you might want to change them before they bed in too much more

yea i agree with that, but usually the external grooves radiate outwards rather than inwards when the cars moving forwards, so any gasses or dust trapped within the grooves are flung out into the wheel rather than in towards the hub, suggesting that these discs look unusual.

Another point to note, is that vented discs 'draw' air from the centre behind the bell and expell air from the outter edge again, hence why when you see race cars with brake cooling ducts the ducting goes to the centre of the disc on the back face so it's drawn out through the void between sides of the disc.

So i guess the simple question is, do the vanes inside your discs go in the same dirrection as the grooves on the outside?

If the internal vanes are in the same direction as the external grooves, then they're on backwards, if the internal vanes are in the opposite direction, then they're unusual, but correct.

I'm more than happy to be corrected, but I made this exact same mistake a while back and was corrected, so i did a bit of research into it at the time.

This pic from the AP website shows what I mean perfectly

The curved vane disc, however, is directional. A curved vane disc must be installed with the vanes running back from the inside to outside diameters in the direction of rotation. Orienting the disc in the manner creates a centrifugal pump.
The rotation of the disc causes air to be pumped from the center of the disc, through the vanes, and out through the outside diameter of the disc. This greatly enhances the disc's ability to dissipate heat.

Very strange! Was just checking mate because I made that exact same error.

So long as the internal vanes are right then all is sweet :) it is unusual though

Looking mighty fine :) The K-sports are all like that and I checked with Bren @ K-Sport when I first got mine, so you're not on your own.

The black Leon linked from eBay is only up the road from me, and has serious road presence; Christ knows what yours must be like with wider wheels, a wider footprint and much lower!! Awesome stuff.......get the dash flocked sharpish ;)
