I had the mk5, so refined and a great motor

They are quicker if you look into figures and tests but in theory yeah same engine - think the management etc is alot different map wise but not sure. The DSG is a quick quick motor

I'd do a MK4 tomorrow though

Mk5's are soft and refined, if that's what your into then they are better but as a drivers car mk4 wins. Dunno how a mk5 is loads quicker either when it's the same engine and slightly heavier, unless it's got dsg then itl be marginally quicker

Trust me mate the mk5 is the quicker motor. Have a look at every test performed on both and you see for yourself. Looks wise I like the Mk5 better but that's just down to personal taste. There are some very nice mk4s about, one that sticks in my mind is the Scottish blue one on ed38 with the tvr wheels. Amazing looking car.

Sad times mate. I saw your ad on the bay late last night... Quite a list!!

Hope all's good and that you're feeling good about moving forward? You still thinking about an R32?

James :)

So sorry to hear about your Leon Dan. It was a nice looking car and unique, not to everyone's taste, but that's why it appealed...:p
Glad you are ok and good luck with the R32 hunt...
Can't find your parts on eBay though....
