Yeh i like my black cars too but sick of keeping ontop of them and this is my daily so didnt want to be spending masses of time topping up wax etc silver is dead easy to keep clean and this reflex silver always has lots of depth etc

Not done many mods, dont think they need them for what i want. Done the flapper mod on the exhaust, which is plenty loud enough for me. Think ill maybe get a blueflame decat and a map at some point, my mapper said he'd do me a map cheap as ive pushed loads of business his way. They map up really well.

Other than that just little bits and bobs, panel filter, mk5 rear wiper, polo ariel, vagcom/vcds options, polybushed rear engine mount, 15mm eibach rear spacers. Did have a fancy intake on it but it was mega loud and got on my nerves after a couple of weeks. If it was a daily id have kept it though haha

Yer silver is easy to clean but as this won't be a daily should be ok , ideally want a blue one . And I want to swap most of my bits from mine on to the r32 ,

What size is the maf mate ? I think I may use my jetex on the new car I know my short shifters fit so will use those , also may take my clutch off and fit that the only difference is the fly wheel , do you know if the standard clutches are any good

Dont think standard clutches really get much abuse as the torque is just dead linear, dont really hear much of them going as such. Not sure on standard maf size, could well be the same as the LCR.

DPB is an awesome colour, just a shame they are so common in the mk4 r32, they should have had that as a special colour, rather than red or something!

Not sure on going rates but spec looks good

The car has had a phase 1 custom remap to 260 BHP, cat back miltek stainless steel exhaust system, 25mm wheel spacers, a very subtle boot spoiler and a dress up kit under the bonnet. Lupo/Bora anniversary mirrors, 68k on clock and leather konigs

this is how many of each were made:

Diamond Black Pearl Effect = 755
Reflex Silver Metallic = 615
Deep Blue Pearl Effect = 813
Moonlight Blue Pearl Effect = 57
Tornado Red = 44
Indigo Blue Pearl Effect = 76
Grey Anthracite Pearl Effect = 31

anthracite ones are awesome. Mines also got the sunroof, never even thought about one before but wouldnt want to not have one again strangely haha my mk2 golf has one too, though the one is that is of the keep fit variety haha

there's a good buying guide one the r32oc, though a little out of date and potentially a little ott haha

so much car for the money nowadays, i've still got the receipt for mine in the history when it was brand new, its nearly bang on 24k

yeh the rare coloured ones hold their value, has been a couple of red ones the passed few months going for not much more but they look strange in red.

He's sold them now, his new wheels are class, just gotta get round some fitment issues!

That silver one in anthracite with compomotive mvs's would be my perfect r32, it makes some amazing noises haha

Go for the mk5 if you can mate. It's a much better car, loads quicker to.

Mk5's are soft and refined, if that's what your into then they are better but as a drivers car mk4 wins. Dunno how a mk5 is loads quicker either when it's the same engine and slightly heavier, unless it's got dsg then itl be marginally quicker
