Sounds like a tractor

hi guys please send your thoughts to me they will be appreciated.

my lc sounds like a tractor on startup and i would say gets a little less noisy when warm..
having looked into the matter on here im sort of pointed towards a manifold gasket. got someone to look at it and they couldnt identify a leak or loose bolt in that region. however could only get to 3 of the bolts. since then i have noticed my crankcase breather pipe located on right side of engine has a massive hole in it.... from research i have discovered this could severly damage engine/ loss of oil/ loss in power. could this be also causing the tank like sound...????
i have ordered a silicon replacement at just under £30 apparantly these are made from chocolate and are notorius for failing...
feedback will be much appreciated

Im putting my money on SAI / N112.

The breather pipe will make your car a bit jerky, but doestn make your car sound like a tractor. Check the whole PCV system btw, if one pipe is split, big chance the rest will be split as well (especially check under inlet manifold!)

thanks well i have looked into it and its a minefield of info if your not a spanner man. i have got enough to check for now. alot is pointing to underneath the intake manifold so when its light ill have a look. when i first viewed the car it was noisy and there was a fan going on start up. still bought it though. it drives and boosts spot on. no warning light on dash etc.

Mine sounds like a tractor on cold mornings but I let it sit for 2 minutes then it returns to normal.
