spanner at 14K

Was in the car today and the spanner icon appeared on the display and also INSP. I know this means for service but why would it appear at 14K.

service every 10k and might not have been reset last service

Did you buy it new? If not, maybe it was serviced before you bought it with 4k on the clock.
