Speakers

Hi guys,

have a quiery here...

i need to replace the speakers in my car doors as they are distorted...the result from being made out of crappy paper. I wondered what size the speakers are so that i can get some new ones put in?

Also i have read about adapters of some sort that need to be purchased to make the new speakers work....anyone aware of this? any info would be great! thanks.

Ohhhh 17cm will fit in with adapters, do a search for the adapters on here, thats how I found which ones I needed to buy

the standard speakers aren't too bad if you run a decent aftermarket hu, sub and amp and use HPF settings. Mine sounds great as they only play out mid and treble so no distortion until the volume is pretty high

P.S. i don't have the speakers amped either, should last a tad longer that way

but for the road, replacing them with standard speakers is your cheapest option, however, if you want to go full whack then do your thing

Where did you put your amp?

I'm confused on where to put one I was looking at a Alpine PDX amp that should (in theory) fit right into the glovebox.

How have you got the wires? I'm thinking of putting it under my passenger seat now. Seem's easy enough done

You can put BOSE 17cm I think you with have the best sound quality.

16.5 speakers in mine, as said you need adapter as they sit slightly out if that makes sense, you will see. My amps also on the back of the rear seats glove box is needed for erm gloves!
