6 speed 02m gearbox doubles the price of most clutches I looked at.
I was very close to getting the Helix but in the end (good or bad) i got the spec st3+ we'll see how she hold up when I get it all running.

Hello mate,
how much did you end up paying for your Spec clutch? And where you buy from

cheers Juber,

TTshop did best deal. but cant remember off the top of my head (£840 ish delivered etc) but by the time i'd added import and VAT it wasnt a bad deal. Much better than a lot of other quotes for same item.

Im thinking of buying from the States, my mate is going to the US next month, and might just have to get thim to whack it in his suitcase on the way back...... Fingers crossed.

As stated the clutch with or without flywheel will weight quite a bit plus if the bag gets X rayed or searched though customs your friend will have some questions to answer plus you will still have to pay import tax etc so not a bright idea to do it that way really.

Had my spec stage 2 clutch fitted on aug 1st at jbs ( the std one was still going strong after 124000 miles) with a smfw and all was good till i went on hol and the car was stood for 2 weeks .
when i got back i started her up and tryed to reverse up my ( steep ) drive and something "let go" at the biting point and it started juddering, almost stalling, and its getting worse ( its in @ jbs on monday ).
Also the smfw is slightly louder. Any ideas ( ps its pissed me off as iv been driving it like a saint too )

I wouldn't assume it's the hardware thats the problem.

That problem above would indicate something has gone amiss in the fitting if you ask me.

300 miles and your still only half way through the bedding in process. Catastrophic failures don't normally occur reversing off drives but on red line up or down shifts.

i doubt its fitting... its been fine, no judder no nothing.
how can you fit it wrong? its centred or its not, its tight or its not....

all will be revealed when its removed, but my best guess is some springs have popped out of the centre plate, which is shite quality from spec if so.

Well I got my setup from Rennen performance in the U.S
After tax shipping etc, the clutchkit with lightweight flywheel cost me £500.

The guy who works for them is running a GT35 400whp and has had no problems so recommended it for my setup.

Heard good things about them in the states
