Speedo not working

Hi,
I've recently had an engine swap in my 1.8t and after it sitting for a while on my drive(while I sold my old car) I took it out yesterday to discover that the speedo wasn't working and the petrol gauge was going up and down not being able to choose where it wanted to sit.
It also beeped at me after going round a corner as if I had no fuel at all :/

Any ideas would be greatfully received

Sounds like the speed sensor on the gearbox has died or the wires to it has a break in them somewhere i had the same issue with mine after a gearbox change

Do you know where abouts its located on the gearbox?

It should be at the back of the gearbox on top of the diff casing,usually covered by a silver heat resistant material..
