Sportex exhausts? Any ideas

Just a few questions about exhausts
Any one had any experience with Sportex stuff?

Heard gd & bad news about them

Well they sell one for the LC on ebay for like 170 quid cat-back, looks decent but?

well i had a full system om my old saxo vtr a few years back. it was mid steel however i was very pleased. sounded really nice and sporty and not chavvy. i think for the money they cost they are very good. hope that helps a little

they do a "race tube" which replaces the middle box afaik... so effectivly cat back with no silencer, no idea on sound on these though. dont think anyone has these fitted

read some posts over on ukmkv1s and they get decent reviews..... theres also a video on sound, throaty and quite loud looking at it.

they are just mils steel though.... but so is oem afaik, and mines lasted 96k with no issues

Fair play, thanks for the info lads, might end up going with a full scorpion system instead then

i remember a mate having one on his car (not going to reveal what it is as you lot will laugh!) and it sounded pretty decent. he then changed it for another make and it sounded crap afterwards so he put the sportex one back on.
