I just used white spirits to strip off the grey rubber, and then polished them up.

Bit of a quick job and i left a few bits out, but it still looks a lot better than before

When you use thinners or white spirits to remove the rubber top coating do you soak it in it, rub it with a cloth after putting some on etc? Friend of mine is doing this and he said he painted white spirit on with a brush but it didnt do anything to the coating?

I used nail varnish remover, kept rubbing it with a scouring pad and it started loosening up..it just needs a bit of time to soak
