Squeaky noise coming from cold start up on Cupra

Hi,
Was just wondering if any one could tell me roughly what was making this noise. It appears first thing in the mornings and when the car is left for a few hours and started back up (cold engine).

cambelt pre tensioner sounds like a budgie? mine done the same. took it back to dealer as it happenedd on the second day of ownership they replaced the cambelt as a warrenty paart.

Yea, Thought so mate getting cam belt changed next week so hopfully it should fix it. Anoys the hell out of me lolz

Good its the tensioner failing slowly so get that done too and might aswell do water pump at same time.

Yea bud gettin cam belt water pump and a major service done including brake fluid change. So when u say failing it cud go anytime?....

no its just a sign of wear on the bearings, and good i just spent loads on my car in the last month new tires, 3 inch downpipe, new exhaust tip, tracking, lowering springs the list goes on.

But wouldnt have it any otherway.

Ohhh ok, yea tell me about it mines onli got 24k on the clock on a 08 plate but will be spendin just over 1k on it this month. Cam belt and service will set me back £500 then £250 on two tires then road tax and a fresh mot, the joys of motering tho ey.

too right, they are fun cars mines mapped by APR and am going stage 2 on sunday at GTI inters.

They are silly fast when mapped i get points where it pulls a lot harder than expected.

shocked a couple of big high end money cars just for fun.

Yea mines on a stage 1 and its alot of fun, i know what u mean about shocking other people in high end cars. Just the other had abit of fun with a s5 and he was pretty suprised to say the least. Their wasnt anything between the two, stage 2 should turn it into even more of a beast.

Might get mine on stage 2 by p-torque when i get the funds as maintance has killed me this month.

Mine had downpipe fited today, wel it sound like a jet and going stage 2 tomo so hopfully that increases the power a bit more, see what it does down the strip.

I went to view a Leon FR TFSI a few days ago and it had the same type of sound. Guess the cambelt needs replacing then? It's an 07 plate with 67k miles on the clock. It's a private sale do no warranty or anything. Any idea on how much I would have to fork out to get cambelt, waterpump and tensioners replaced?

well if the cambelt hasnt been done i think its due every 4 years.
