Na, but then I never really bothered how many mpg the car did. It always needed refuelled between 240 and 270 miles, just like the new one does. Once managed 400 miles from one tank on a run in the old one though - the new one barely managed that on its first run.

Thats why then. The carbonia intake is letting less air get to the engine and the air to fuel ratio gets adjusted accordingly. Ditch the carbonio and get a proper intake ;)

Sorry, is it just me or does that not make sense ?

If the Carbonio was 'letting in less air to get to the engine and the fuel to air ratio gets adjusted accordingly', then surely this would richen the mixture and result in worse not better MPG ?

I think it's the other way round (comparing Carbonio to stock intake and filter here, remember). ;)

less air requires less fuel. It wouldnt need to automatically run rich

I was jesting though lol ;)

Nothing special for me today, just some new uprated brembo blue sports pads as the oem fronts needed replacing.

Tell him I said thanks. Was he at AMD or next door with the jap cars rolling road day?

Oh right!

He was at AMD as they were cheaper than next door for fitting the exhaust!

Sorry for hijacking the thread!

How much is a stage 1 remap? I test drove a Cupra today but it was just lacking something

i was seeing 24 to 25 mpg before the map then after the map and with the p-flow on im at 22! Must mean its getting plenty of air in!
