Don't know about an M6 but a Stage 2+ Leon is defo. no match for a V10 M5. Met several on the autobahn and every time I meet one thats willing to race I can stay in it's tail until 200 km/h after that it pulls away quite easily.
People tend to forget that you can tune everything but an untuned M stays far away from it's limits and therefore keeps there power much longer under harsch conditions (heatsoak etc.).
Think a 2+ is somewhere between a 335i and M3 which is quite an achievement for a car costing far less.

All the tests ive ever done dont really go past 220kmh at a push and I would expect the same results as what you found if we did. We usually always do roll ons from 30mph.

What I have also found is that the gearing is perfect on the stage 2 plus car to go WOT from at 30 in third. The 911 turbo and my rs will usually do it in 2nd gear. Either car can also do it from third gear but the result stays the same with the cupra beating the RS, and being side by side with the 911 turbo.

I can confirm the M5 claims as my car when just Stage 2 would hang on to my old man's old M5 upto around 5th. This is slip streaming him a bit and obviously with DSG. But now Stage 2+ I would say it'd be more interesting..
Like matey has already said, it's when getting to 120+ that M5's start to really motor and make the extra 6 cylinders, 3.0L and 150bhp count..

for what its worth an E46 M3 (standard) made 327Hp with heatsoak on saturday so was only 3Hp down on the top s2+

What do other hothatches make on there rollers Sy, ie Stage 3 astra vxr's etc?

I would seriously doubt they make 300hp on them because on the road theres alot more than 30hp between stage 2+ ko4's and them vxr/st's

us southern softies dont feel the need to massage those Hp figures though

no idea what the ST's and VXRs make on there. i know after doing RR days with STs in the past that they dont make over 300Hp on the std turbo. think VXRs are the same as well. They come up north if they want free HP in doggy bags lol
