I have a Toyo fmic in the box here and my research has indicated that if you can fit it well and prepared to spend time on it it will go on and retain the fogs - particularly behind the R bumper.
Hope this helps

I know what you're saying but it's not just the fogs issue. The Toyo also uses reducers to go from 64mm ports on the intercooler down to 57mm for the pipes. This is not good and causes pressure loss. 64mm right through would be fine.

Shame TX don't do a LC kit. Anyone got any other recommendations for an intercooler on the LC without any chopping, welding or loss of fogs etc.

toyo fmic would be more then enough for what you need . many people on here have one. bit of a nightmare to fit but saves you alot of ££££. oh and you can still have your fogs. it has been done. again alot of fiddling and cursing but is achievable.

i read that on here to, but im sure ive seen on here that the toyo ic does actually improve intake temps so the size difference's cant hinder it that much;)

also is it just the appearance of loosing your fogs that you are worried about??

Not so much the appearance no, although this is a concern. My main issue is that I do need them. I travel to work on the M62 and my route takes me along Windy Hill, the highest motorway in the UK, so it tends to get foggy quite regularly.

as above my friend. think it was mo that managed to keep his fogs. i may be wrong

Good to know it can be done. Was this on an LC too with the facelift bumper?

yeah it was . like i say , they are abit of a pain in the arse to fit , but with a bit of time it will all work . only thing i would say is get the clamps changed. the ones you get with the kit are c**p. you need to do them up nice and tight , but tend to snap. forge do some good clips mate.

really £50?? are stage 2 maps generic now then? cause when i had my my stage 2 map it was custom mapped by will at p-torque and he had it for nearly a day and i thought i had a bargain at £250!

I paid £420 for my Stage 2 map from scratch !!!!!! 4+ hours 12+ rolling road sessions by Stealth Racing, had a choice of Revo Stage 2 but didn't bother, it's far too generic.

I had a generic Stage 1, before I went to get it mapped, I removed that map and put the standard map back on!

I rang the local Revo dealer today and it's £50+ VAT. I asked if it was generic and he said they flash the ECU then check everything and tweak if needed. It is generic with a bit of scope for changing files but nothing like a full custom map. I'm gonna stick to Revo though cos I got the Stage 1 for £120 after a lot of hassle with flashing to my car and the EML light coming on. All in when I get stage 2 it'll have only cost me £180 for the mapping. :funk:
