Gents,

I have had a search around and have come back with part/conflicting info.

For a 2006 FR+ Leon 1M1 PD150 ARL what are the standard brake disc sizes?

I think its Vented on the front, 288mm and Solid on the back, 232mm.

Hope you can confirm.

thanks

Steve

The Front brakes are 288mm x 25mm Vented Discs, the Rear brakes are 232mm x 9mm Solid Discs. The FR TDI and FR+ TDI have the same brakes.

They can be uprated to 312mm the same as the Audi S3, just the carriers need changing

Yeah those sizes are spot on although my FR TDI came with 312mm front discs when I bought it last Christmas so the previous owner must have upgraded at some point although it wasn't mentioned so it was a pleasant surprise as I had a set of carriers ready to be swapped over.
I'm just about to fit some 256mm vented rear brakes as my current 232mm solid ones are ready for the scrap bin.

Seems to be an easy upgrade, just the carriers, if you discs and pads are US.

Is it the same for the 232 to 256 at the back? Carriers only?

The rear isn't quite as straight forward and requires calipers, carriers, discs, pads and splash guards.
Ideally you want them from a Cupra R, Toledo V5, Octavia Vrs or Golf V5 but you can use the carriers fitted to the S3 8L, 4MO, R32 etc if you fit a 6mm spacer between them and the hub.
