Can anyone help me out here?? What bhp can a standard front mounted take on mk4 cupra 1.8t safely?? Also does anyone have information on how much pipe work and bends needed for an upgrade, was goin to make my own pipes 2.5". Or photos of setups? Cheers wakey

How much do you want to run?

IMO, they don;t fail at a certain power, they fail under high boost pressures.
They don't like 2.5bar on a diesel, but your not going to be running that on a petrol. So unless your looking at 300bhp plus, it'll be fine

Cheers pal, thought I would be fine, its only for a stage 2 map so probs no more then 240bhp, just get a custom low boost map.

My old one was running at 261bhp and never caused any problems. I wouldn't recommend going much higher unless other work is done beforehand.
